Description

Most varieties of halva are thick pastes which have been prepared with sugar or honey as a sweetener. Their textures, however, vary. In particular, the semolina-based halva is gelatinous and translucent as compared to sesame-based halva that is drier and crumbly.
At room temperature, halva can be stored with very minimal risk of spoilage. Nevertheless, in summer it should be refrigerated because after a few days its texture becomes liquidised.
Ingredients: Roasted and pounded sunflower seed kernels, sugar, corn syrup starch vanilla.
